California Car Cover Company (CCCC) today announced that legendary designer Chip Foose, the youngest member ever inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame, will receive a special honor at the 10th annual National Street Rod Association (NSRA) Appreciation Day on Sunday, April 10 at its company headquarters (9525 DeSoto Ave, Chatsworth, CA, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.). Hot rod fans from around the Southland will gather to celebrate Foose's legacy of creating award-winning street rods.
The event will feature a special guest appearance by Foose, a well-known name in customizing circles and now also a celebrity with mainstream viewers as the star of the hit TLC show Overhaulin', which features the conceptualization and frenetic, week-long renovation of an unsuspecting enthusiast's vehicle. Foose will showcase some of his recent works, while hosting an autograph session at CCCC for collectors and fans.
With more than 400 custom and rodding vehicles of every color and style expected, hobbyists and auto enthusiasts also will be treated to a day of extraordinary automotive design and innovation, food, music and behind-the-scenes tours of the California Car Cover Company facilities and showroom.
