As the latest in Guitar Center's series of monthly promotions, the leading music instrument retailer today announced its May promotion, "Cruisin' Cali-Style," which will hook up one lucky customer with a vintage 1972 Impala complete with a JBL custom sound system. Since May represents warmer weather and the gateway to summer, Guitar Center banded together with JBL to give its customers an off-the-hook promotion that celebrates the fun, laid back culture of California.
"Guitar Center's Cruisin' Cali-Style promotion takes its inspiration from the West Coast; specifically, the California lifestyle that celebrates warm weather and low riders," said Jack Sonni, vice president of marketing communication for Guitar Center. "Just as last month's Jimi Hendrix promotion provided a one-of-a-kind collectable, this promotion will enable Guitar Center customers to score a rare, souped-up classic car that is sure to turn heads."
More than a refurbished classic, the Guitar Center Impala has only 50,000 miles on its original Chevy 350 engine and features chrome Dayton rims and a hydraulic system with eight switches. The pimped out ride also includes white tuck and roll leather seats complete with orange piping, a tangerine pearl customized paint job with sparkle abalone flake on the hardtop, and a banging JBL custom sound system.
"Once again Guitar Center and JBL have teamed up to create a rad promotion that combines the best of the car and music cultures," said Mark Gander, vice president of marketing for JBL Professional. "JBL has partnered with GC for many years, and with each new promotion we've been able to go above and beyond the last. This classic '72 Impala decked out in JBL orange and upped with a custom JBL sound system fits the bill to a T."
