This is Edelbrock's carbureted intake manifold kit for the GM LS1 V-8. Edelbrock LS1 intake manifolds allow the user to retrofit any Gen III-based small-block into a classic vehicle, using a carburetor. The kit includes an easy-to-install Electric Timing Control Module, which picks up manifold air pressure, crank position, and cam position signals to control the coil-on-plug ignition system with proper timing.

So, the big question is: "Does it work?" Edelbrock did some in-house dyno testing and found its carb-and-intake combo to generate modest power gains across most of the horsepower and torque curves. (The original chart was color-coded, but you can take our word that the higher lines represent the test with Edelbrock parts.) Not bad for old-school technology, don't you think?
